For this task I was assigned to make a gig poster for «The Keystrokes»: The first part of the task was to make a poster to promote their concert and the next task was to extend it by a coupon for free drinks or promote merchandise.
I decided to go with a black and white design, and make intuitive shapes and symbols to highlight the instruments. I want it to be clear to the viewer at first glance that it is a musiccal poster, but do so in a more nuanced sense.
